ARTIST BIO

Like seemingly every artist bio you read, art has been my second language since my wee toddler years. That art didn't get any good, however, until high school and subsequently college where I earned my BFA in Art in 2014 from Arizona State University. During those years I dabbled in all sorts of mediums and found myself particularly drawn to charcoal, ink, and watercolor. In 2013 I exhibited at my first convention, Phoenix Comicon, which was a surprising success. I have so far returned every year since. In 2014 Preston Poland found me at Phoenix Comicon and from 2014 to 2016 I illustrated Horrors: The Scary Story RPG, which became the first book I've been published in [aside from Through The Eyes Of A Child {© 2000 by Art and Kids} where my Flying Quails is published on page 82 in the Ages 6 to 7 section...].
While I occasionally take commissions and paint the beloved pets I know, the bulk of my art is extremely intuitional and imaginative. My core inspiration is music and the exploration of concepts like "what makes something human?" I find myself repeatedly drawn (pun 100% intended) to eerie spooks and monsters, both in what interests me and what I create.
I enjoy playing video games [I love Zelda, Kirby, Bloodborne, Final Fantasy XIV, and Minecraft], creating stories and characters, thrifting, going to concerts [I love Dream Theater and Muse], collecting old coins, and drying roses.
Some of my favorite things are cats, military style, Lolita and boystyle, cosmic bodies and entities, Otamatones, handmade paper, sketchbooks, glow-in-the-dark stuff, and rainbow scratch paper.
